You, me, everyone!
Various locations around our beautiful county. Walks will generally alternate between San Diego and North County so we can all enjoy a nice car ride too.
Why not? It's good for you and the dogs LOVE it!
Anyone from any greyhound adoption group and beyond, as well as folks without greyhounds who just want to see some up close and personal.
Generally the walks take about 1 1/2 hours at a moderate pace.... a few miles at the most.
Not a thing unless the Parks department has a fee, and then we'll let you know.
We'll have the cell phone with us, and will hopefully remember to turn it on! Give us a shout at (760) 805-2970 and we'll steer you straight. If you miss us, enjoy the walk and we'll see you next time.
As with any outdoor activity in a sunny and warm climate, you should wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear. Sunscreen and water are a good idea both for you and your dog, as well as a spray bottle or cool coat to keep your pooch comfortable on hot days. And don't forget those pick up bags! All dogs must be on leash, 6 foot length maximum.
Are you serious? This is San Diego!! In the rare event that it is rainy or too cold, we will post the cancellation on the site. In the summer months, we walk at 6:00 pm to avoid the heat.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet some greyhounds and talk to us about our wonderful companions.
Absolutely! Someone will have more dogs than they can handle, and you can borrow one.
Certainly! The more the merrier.
Some greyhound owners have "other" dogs too - go figure! All dogs benefit from socialization. If you are comfortable that your non-grey dog can get along with other greyhounds, bring them too.
If you join us, you do so at your own risk. Let's face it, anything can happen anywhere, even right outside your front door. The walk organizers accept no responsibility. We will help, assist, and share knowledge as any friend would do, but the burden of your and your dog's safety rests with you.
